I began tattooing professionally in 2003. In 2005 I decided to go back to school. I focused both on art & business oriented subjects. The goal being to open a tattoo studio as well as art gallery. I opened Katalist Konsepts in May 2007. In May 2013 I changed the name of the studio to Refuge Tattoos & Piercing. Although I have a fondness for Script and Traditional Americana inspired pieces, I prescribe to no one style. I prefer instead to tailor the look of the tattoo to the vision of each client. I enjoy the process of working with my clients. Whether they bring in a design that needs some fine tuning on my part, or just an idea that I take and create the entire tattoo. For me the process of developing your idea to the best it can be is as important as the tattoo itself.
