Girl on a boat is about my good friend. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, and although deeply saddened by her plight I was inspired by her courage and resilience.

I have learnt much from my friend, she makes me smile, brings warmth to any room, is motivational and positivity personified. I am privileged to be one of her friends.

My poems are an expression of her illness, and her courage taken from actual conversations with her and her real experiences. I hope I have listened well to her.
