Doug was a simple man with a simple schedule, wanting nothing more than to remain consistent in his routine of working at the library and coming home to his housemate, Carrie. Unfortunately, his life becomes very complicated when he starts listening to the voices inside of his head. Even worse, he begins to let them come out... and then act on their advice. And suddenly his life is the opposite of simple. In fact, letting these voices out leads to his life beginning to fall apart. His actions become erratic, his motivations muddled, and then, as he desperately tries to hold his world together, a mysterious therapist, Arlin, enters the scene and begins to unravel his very being. Simply by obliging Arlin's requests, Doug soon finds himself losing control of his reality. The question is, did he ever really have control at all? Or was that an illusion as well?
