Über das Ebook
Emma Flynn, from her early years at the beginning of the 20th century, she was a feisty young woman who knew her own mind. Repeatedly being put in the coal hole could not break her spirit. Living in Grimsby her family knew about the fall of the fishing industry. Moving back to Hillgate Stockport, living in her parents shop on Duke Street, she became a member of the Salvation Army, much to the disapproval of her father. As an officer she ministered to the miners of South Wales, where she almost starved, but did meet her future husband. While at Crossley Aviation factory in 1917 and she called her fellow women workers to the brink of a strike. Using illustrations of then & now a picture of the person and places is built up.
