Insatiably curious about traditions and cultures, I have traveled extensively around the world. My creative talent was focused on writing about food and how it informs cultures. Soon it shifted to photography—it is the mirror that reflects my existence. For me, there is no separation between images and the stories they tell. While it is important that I understand apertures, shutter speeds, lighting, posing, white balance, etc., it is equally important for me to rely on my vision and trust my instincts. To that end, I follow my bliss with a passion. From Paris to London, from New York City to San Francisco, I attended workshops with some world-renowned photographers, such as Brooke Shaden and Scott Robert Lim. They reinforced the idea of trusting one's vision. As I continue my journey, my goal is to capture and create emotive images that are a blend of imagination and powerful visual storytelling.
