This is the city of Lucca as I feel it. The story of a city as seen throught the eyes of its inhabitants..cultured inhabitants depicted by their shadows and fleeting presences rather than by recognizable clear-cut figures.



Lucca is famous for its Walls: here the Walls of Lucca are described in a different light. A photographic eye that does not seek monuments, architecture or the history of this work of art but which is looking for people, emotions and the "life " that flows through its veins.



Lucca is the city of 100 churchs. I never found a church completely in the dark, every time that I enter there is always a light, however small, but it exists. It's written in the Gospels: "And Jesus said: I am the true light" and it's this "Light", this "Presence" that I looked for in these pictures. The search for God or his spirituality in places of worship through a fleeting ray or a hidden shadow.



Lucca is famous for "Comics&Games": an european meeting for comics and cosplay. It 's the world I love best. A colourful fantastic world where everything is possible, even the "most mature adults” relive their childhood and fantasy takes the place of reality.



And in Lucca there are a lot of Craftmen: they work.. with the hands, with the heart, with the mind...

So this is Lucca in its shadows, Walls, comics, churchs and craftmen.
