Finding Amma (Amma is Icelandic for grandmother) is about a grandson's journey from the United States to a remote church in the north of Iceland where he buries a lock of his deceased mother's hair at her mother's grave site, symbolically reuniting the two after 77 years. Amma died at the age of 28 leaving her daughter who was only 8 years old.
