Catherine graduated with a first class honours degree in Visual Communication (illustration) from the University of Derby 2009. In 2009 she received a highly commended award for her book 'Mess" in the Macmillan children's book awards. In the same year she received a highly commended award for her humorous children's book 'My Sister is an Alien' in the Cheltenham illustration awards. More recently Catherine has had two pieces of work highly commended in the Association of illustrators images 35 competition 2012. Catherine works as a freelance illustrator based in Kent.
