I have degree in biology that I have not used except to inform my sense of wonder at the ceaselessly amazing world we live in. My writing career was not planned but rather a series of gifts. My husband's artistic pursuits have served to stretch me beyond my empirical training just as my scientific outlook serves to rein in his far-flung imaginings. I have lived lots of places but the desert is the newest and after 3 years is still a source of unending curiosity for me.
