Über das Buch
Portraits is a photographer's vision of how animals might wish to be shown if they were to make an appointment to sit for a studio portrait.
This book features images of cats, large and small, many other mammals from both the East and the Western world, birds from many lands, and a few cold blooded animals. A little information about each animal is offered with an occasional poem and personal comment from the author.
Portraits is not a nature study, rather it is an attempt to humanize the creatures with whom we share our world.

Über den Autor
Louise Heusinkveld
Hilton Head, SC
Most of Louise’s photographs are taken when she leaves home and visits other places. Fortunately, this is a frequent occurrence. Currently based in South Carolina, her portfolio includes images taken in such diverse locations as Canada, Britain, Europe, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the United States. As much as possible, Louise tries to avoid the cliche travel images and look for something that speaks about the character of a place or its people. When she can, she seeks opportunities to get close to local wildlife.
