Über das Buch
Food in Israel is a contentious subject and is deeply linked to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This research project focuses less on the conflict and more on the multiculturalism present in Israel, a country usually viewed within the binary of Israelis and Palestinians. After reviewing existing literature on the subject, I consider the pedagogical value of food tourism, its downfalls, and how food can be both a subject of and vehicle for intercultural and interfaith exchange in Israel.
