Taking a walk in nature, a child and his grandfather experience the world around them, each having a unique perspective. By suspending what it is we think we should see or what the other should see, both views can be embraced for their beauty. A refreshing reminder that there is room for more than one point of view, this story is about sharing nature together.

While continuing to reflect the story, the images also express a theme of divergent points of view by using two types of media to illustrate the different perspectives. Landscape watercolor paintings illustrate the view of the grandfather; while detailed-oriented macro photographs illustrate the perspective of the child.



Both grandfather and child complete the story by holding hands while continuing their walk together. As a reflection of personal philosophy, Sarah and I hope that multiple perspectives can be met with a similar acceptance and willingness to share the world together.
