Über das Buch
SENDING is a generic term for successfully completing a vertical rock or ice climb. Jennifer Erin Pinkus approached her struggle against cancer with the determination and emotional strength she used when tackling the most challenging mountain.
When Jen received a diagnosis of lymphoma, she decided to start a daily journal describing her experience with hair loss, “chemo brain,” metallic tastes and insurance coverage. Her talent for using the written word in prose and poetry to describe coping with this horrific illness is raw and honest. It shows Jen’s courage as she faces her fears, the unknown and finally death.
She hoped this book would help others face difficult trials with courage and strength and letting them know that they are not alone.
Your purchase of SENDING will help support the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and the Roundup River Ranch in Gypsum, Co. — a camp whose goal is to enrich the lives of children with serious illnesses by offering free, medically-supported camp experiences.

Über den Autor
Jennifer Pinkus
Vail, Co.
After graduating from UVM, Jen decided to move to Vail for just a year. 19 years later, she had honed her outdoor athletic skills. She was a mountain bike racer, rock climber, skier and snow boarder. Jen was also a patient and skilled teacher. In April 2015, she was diagnosed with Follicular Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma which rapidly transformed into large cell B blood cancer. Jen fought valiantly for a year, but lost the battle in March 2016 at age 41.During this time, Jen kept a journal about her struggle. Her prose and poetry are raw and informative. We, the editors of the journal, want her voice to be heard.
