In the winter of 2017, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City installed a 1:4 replica of Michelangelo Buonarroti’s Sistine Chapel in its galleries. Much like the original ceiling, the crowds beneath this scale replica were fluid and swelled to large numbers. Lost in this crowd, each individual lowered their guard and surrendered their emotions and sensations to this divine artwork whilst gazing up at its biblical story of creation.
