INRO: From pre-school playgrounds to the menu board in your favorite resturant chalk may be the most popular medium for artistic expression through type. Forgiving and imperfect by nature a simple stick of chalk has an inviting character that appeals to all ages. 



On the following pages I will explain the fundamentals of typography, the basic anatomy of letterforms and along the way point out a few "Do's and Don'ts" of type. The content is written for anyone interested in learning more about the letters they use and the illustrations are informative, fun and of course in chalk!
