Being a blessed grandma, I got to take care of my grandson, Gavin, for several days while his parents traveled out of town. Getting him to sleep on a school night was much more enjoyable with a bedtime story. This story evolved over 3 bedtimes. Gavin would help me with some of the details until he fell asleep. The counting of the stair steps and my slow and quiet voice was designed to help the 'falling asleep' process, just like counting sheep. This story is about a young boy's journey on the 100 Purple Stair Steps to ask a question no one has asked before.
