Theresa Moerman Ib was born in The Netherlands in 1977 and grew up between Denmark and the UK. In 2002, she earned a bachelor's degree in English Literature and worked in the Danish media as a web content editor, writer and photographer before pursuing a career in fine art. In 2012, she graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with a First Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art Photography and Distinction for the academic dissertation The Magic Mirror: Reflections on Photography as Memory. She lives and works in Glasgow. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates photography, film, text, sculpture and installation. Her work is strongly influenced by collecting and storytelling. At the core of her practice is a fascination with the unreliability of memory and the tension between holding on and letting go.
