Maister Frank Docherty, Instructor and one of the Ancient Maisters of the Company of Maisters of the Science of Defence. Frank started his martial arts training 35 years ago with Judo but moved quickly on to Hap Kune Do in 1980 under the tutelage of Sifu Dave, Lee where he received his black sash in the five animals system and became a Kickboxing coach. His training also includes Iaido where he received a ranking of Shodan, Jodo where he received a ranking of Shodan under sensei Don Antonio Leon and sensei Charles Wheaton. Frank also trained and fought in modern Boxing and was trained by many professional trainers for over 20 years. He has had additional training with Sifu Austin Goh Where he learnt Shaolin Northern Leg kung fu. He has also taught close-quarter combat in partnership with Tae kwon do 2nd degree blackbelt James Danson.
