A journey to Peru in 2014, with a small group of equally minded Icelanders eager to learn about the wonders and people of Peru from Sigrún Klara Hannesdóttir, who instigated the trip. One of the highlights of the tour was the formal opening of a library in Quebrada Verde school in Lima. The library was financed by the organization Friends of Peru. Another highlight was the warm welcome in the Chosecani school in the Andes Mountains. Visits to famous landmarks such as Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, Lake Titicaca and many others will also remain unforgettable.
