For years I did not identify with a group of very hip and interesting people that lived in the adjacent watershed and did not know why. I was more at home with the more diverse, the less cohesive, and less contemporary community that lived on my side of the shed line. I have come to appreciate that I chose this basin because it speaks to me, nurtures and teachs me. I belong to my watershed tribe and I like it.
