This book illustrates a journey from the High Arctic to Iceland via the east coast of Greenland.This was a voyage packed full of contrasts, lots of ice, a real expedition. We encountered polar bears, blue whales, walrus and many arctic birds. Greenland presented dramatic fjords, jagged mountains,huge glaciers and massive icebergs. Being autumn the tundra was a mass of colour from the leaves of the low growing plants. It was quite a culture shock to return from this wild and remote wilderness.
