The book comprises images and thoughts from a February 2016 Road Scholar Program "Cuba: People and Society". Photos are scenes and people of Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and Santa Clara; the vintage cars of Havana are real. Reflections on emerging societal changes were derived from visits with professional dancers, musicians, educators, entrepreneurs, and senior citizens - and visits to two synagogues, as well as academic lectures on history, architecture, international relations and religion.
