This is a unique and original synthesis of viewing the human landscape of the Central Coast of California. Through this project you will see individual paintings and biographies tell the story of the Central Coast community, both past and present.
Normally, we only get a glimpse of the human potential hinted at by using one type of media. This multifaceted approach to portraiture begins with an individual subject being a portal to not only their appearance, but to their history, their dreams and accomplishments and their relationship to the larger community. These individuals stand as symbols for the cultures that give our lives color, purpose, and meaning.-
