I find great beauty in the details in this world, in nature and in architecture. While the two may seem opposite, I experience them similarly, fascinated by light and shadow; by lines, patterns, & shapes. The juxtaposition of images of details from the natural world and the human-made world creates a dialogue about shadow and shape between those very subjects themselves, a study in the harmony of opposites. I took great pleasure in creating this book and I hope my audience finds pleasure in experiencing the world through my eyes. All images were shot manually, as shown; the photographs were neither cropped nor altered in post-production to achieve the desired effect of symbiosis.
