The AMERICAN GLASS GUILD is delighted to present the artwork from its fifth annual juried exhibition of contemporary stained glass, AMERICAN GLASS NOW: 2016. The exhibition will take place in two locations this year. Beginning at the Logan Center for the Arts in Chicago, from June 15th to July 10th, the show then moves to Washington National Cathedral, July 17 to September 28th. Congratulations to artists Kathy Barnard, Joseph Cavalieri, David Fode, Marie Foucault-Phipps, Nancy Gong, Mary Clerkin Higgins, Kathy Jordan, Barbara Krueger, J. Kenneth Leap, Ellen Mandelbaum, Sean Merchant, Nancy Nicholson, Richard Prigg, Patrice Schelkun, Emily Selvin, Maria Sheets, Amy Valuck, and Sasha Zhitneva. And thank you to our jurors - Rolf Achilles, Lindsy Parrott, and Judith Schaechter.

Each year, the Jurors present the American Glass Guild's "AGNX Awards" for Excellence in the Art of Stained Glass. The judges consider creative use of materials, original expression, aesthetic impact, clarity of narrative, and complexity of execution. 2015 Awards were given to Marie Foucault-Phipps and Troy Moody.

AMERICAN GLASS NOW is the premier juried show of contemporary stained glass, bringing together leading artists for a fresh and versatile take on a treasured medium. The exhibition encourages artists to explore this fascinating and evocative medium and share their vision with an expanded public.
