Sometime an installation will get covered by another artist, other times it might get torn or removed by a city employee or disgruntled citizen . Sometimes a piece will stay on the wall for years, slowly aged and worn by natural elements like wind, rain and sun. Often times, another artist will write something next to it or on top of it, or even write directly on the installation making it a whole new piece of art; creating an open-air gallery.
