Each and every day, as I drove my daughter to school, I would give her "free advice" to help her get through the day. As our daily drive to school has come to an end, this book represents the highlight reel -- or at least those mini lectures that I can recall. Julia's final lecture is just that -- a conclusion. Every father wants his daughter to have his voice in the back of her head as she progresses through life, guiding her along the way. This is my effort to ensure that my voice, even after I am gone, will continue to offer advice to my daughter. I'll leave the door open for at least one more lecture.
