Ashley Rose Tacheira's candid black and white photographs reveal a side of the boardwalk usually edited out of the family photo album. Using elements of light, gesture, expression and movement, her work explores the human experience. With a strong compositional eye, she captures complicated and compelling scenes which question our ideas of identity, memory, and family. All of the photographs were taken in one afternoon at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California on black and white film.
