These were my experiences as a Trainee Engineer working summers for a Navajo Missile Subcontractor (1956-58), and as a Research Engineer in Inertial Navigation Systems for North American Aviation, Autonetics Division. I also worked on the Apollo Computer and Part Task Trainer, and the Standardized Space Guidance System Program. I describe the details of program engineering and the wonderful people with whom I worked, as well as some of the stories about missile failures and successes (1961-1964).
