Born in San Francisco- a third generation Californian- now living in the Southwest desert. My love of photography has coalesced with my love of the western landscape. Even the most prosaic details can transform to beauty in the unique desert light. Most interesting to me is the pervasive human impact - both creative and destructive- on the desert environments that are changing and often vanishing in my lifetime. In documenting the impermanence, I have also wanted to uncover the beauty as well as the isolation and longing these landscapes evoke for me.
