Über das Buch
The Cape West Coast of South Africa is a place of rare beauty. Summers are hot and windy, winters bring black clouds and heavy rains, autumn delivers thick mops of rolling mists and springtime a billion wildflowers that cover the land. But there is another enigma to the West Coast. Its surrounding sea.
The waters of the West Coast are the stuff of legends. Calm and serene one moment, they have the ability to change without warning and unleash a ferocity of force that defies the imagination. It takes a special person to stand up to these seas. Yet there are those who do. And survive. These are the fisherman of the Cape West Coast who were born to ride upon their Chariots of the Sea.
Chariots of the Sea is a snapshot in time of the West Coast fisherman's most treasured possession - his boat - and the waters that surround it.
