Mark Sutherland is a Kent based artist who specialises in large scale constructed photographs. His works exhibit a wide variety of topics from space exploration, industrial aspects, to contemporary land art. The scenes in his images are largely constructed from hand by the artist then photographed in a specific manner, usually alluding to their mystery as real or fictitious scenes. He has been studying contemporary photography for 4 years now, first at Canterbury College then further at the University for the Creative Arts. His plans for the future include a detailed examination of the role photography has to play in contemporary art, specifically with interest toward the constructed tableaux.
