Über das Buch
have to take at least one photograph. Some days the weather or light was such that I never would have thought of going out and shooting - but I did
anyway. There were times when I had no idea what I would end up photographing (if anything). In any case, here is the result: an unusual mix - but I
definitely found the experience rewarding, and I think that I actually learned a few things...

Über den Autor
My interest in photography goes back many years, but I did not really start to work seriously in the darkroom until I went to college. Since then I worked primarily in 35 mm format, with occasional excursions into both medium and large format work. Although all of my current prints are "totally digital", they are straight photographs, with no “manipulation”. The same techniques utilized in the darkroom are now done on the computer, but with less noxious and poisonous fumes - along with the ability to dodge, burn and tone with even more finesse and precision. These are essentially black and white images, but I use a toning and tinting technique that provides an additional layer of subtlety. I also purposely chose not to revisit my older images. The digital process not only forced me to pursue a new method of producing prints, but it has made me go out and shoot new images, which has been really important to me.
