I am now early retired. Born in Bristol, England. Organ Scholar at Bristol Cathedral and studied at the College of St Matthias, Bristol University; qualifying as a teacher in 1977. Since that time I have lived in London and my teaching posts have included: Friern Barnet School, Christ's College and St John's CE School, all in North London. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree and Certificate in Education from the University of Bristol, a Diploma in Music and was made a Fellow of the Academy of St Cecilia in 2001. In 2013, the Bishop of London conferred on me the Order of St Mellitus and the St Mellitus Medal in recognition of 25 years service at St John's Church of England School, Stanmore, Middlesex. Music has been my life, and I am an organist and composer. Second to that is my love of photography to which I devote more time in retired mode! I enjoy travelling, and Venice resonates greatly.
