The Psalms were penned by people in the most difficult times of their lives. They discovered that whilst pressed on one side by insurmountable difficulties and failure, at their backs though was The Immovable Rock, the Rock of their salvation; their hiding place and security; someone who never changes and is always there. These are the cries of desperate lives.
