Colorful photos of Venice, Padua, and the surrounding area. While traveling in Northern Italy, I was intrigued everywhere I turned by the mix of old and new; bright and subtle; solemn and humorous. I was especially delighted by the island of Burano, where the small, adjoining houses are each painted a different color. I had the good luck to be there after several days of rain, so all the laundry was hanging out to dry.
