Frederico Oliveira, a.k.a. Freddy Locks, was born in Lisbon on December 9th 1977. While his first years as a musician were connected to punk music, it was when he found reggae that he discovered his true soul. With three edited albums, Freddy is a reference in the Portuguese reggae scene, celebrating the tenth year of his career in 2014. This book is the result of 9 months of photographic work documenting Freddy's daily life. The title - "Human Together Arise" – is based on the message behind Freddy’s music: the quest for inner revolution through self-awareness and the collective work for a global change ... in the reggae-roots style. The images here presented are windows into the life of a man, father, friend and musician.
