In October 2013 and 2014 I had the opportunity to join Roose Johan (called Master John in China), president EUFOM professional organization acupuncture.  Johan is acupuncturist and teacher Chinese Medicine.  Every year he organizes the clinical practice for his graduated students at the Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Center.

To fulfil the requirements of their training they have to do clinical practice for several weeks which ends with the closing ceremony and the handover of the certificate.
I had the chance to visit the acupuncture clinics and to attend the closing ceremony. I met acupuncture students from Portugal, Ireland, and the USA and of course from Belgium.

During my stay in China, I did take the opportunity to visit several places.

Nanjing
The former capital of China. Now one of the most important cities concerning science with a speedy industrial development attracting a lot of foreign companies.

Shanghai
The flourishing economic heart of China.

Suzhou
The city with famous beautiful gardens with faire-like names, the nice bridges and historical buildings.  Therefore it is one of the most important touristic spots of the West part of China and silk center.

Hangzhou
The end of the Big Canal (Beijing-Hangzhou), with 1794 km of length it is one of the longest canals in the world. Some parts of the construction date from 500 B Chr.

This book is a reproduction of my impressions of the beautiful cities with nice and friendly people, with beautiful parks and a lot of cultural heritage. Furthermore, impressions of the new China with impressive modern architectural realizations and the flourishing live in the streets.
