John Hovig's Asemic Figure drawings are self-contained abstract continuous-line drawings. There are almost 40 works, from 14 by 17 inches to 30 by 40. Each features a single form centered on the page, a deformed black spiderweb on a smooth white sheet. One unbroken line loops around the page, around again, and back on itself, in loops and cross-overs, eventually coalescing into an abstract yet suggestive image, almost a handwritten cloud.
