When Kody and Jesse hit the road with their rucksacks packed and thumbs raised - a funny thing happened. They didn’t die, they weren’t kidnapped and they didn’t swelter in the desert because “no one picks up hitchhikers anymore”.

In November 2013, Kickstarter had just launched in Australia and Kody and Jesse wanted to utilise its potential. Their frustration with the stigma surrounding hitchhiking and their sense of adventure led them to the idea of crowd funding a hitchhiking trip around Australia.

This book documents the places they went and people they met.
