The [FAT] project in it’s entirety. For Toronto’s alternative fashion week 2008 ([FAT]) I approached the event organizers about my photographic submission. I was told that I would be showing on the Friday night of the three day event and that the theme for the night was “conflict”. I asked if I could use some of the actual designs and models that would be on the runway and stage high fashion girl fights. Lots of kitsch and lots of colour. The collection of images was then projected on a large video screen while the girls and the dresses in the photos paraded up and down the catwalk. Worked out well and was a tonne of fun to shoot and create. I guess runway girls don't often get to do much fighting in front of a camera - they seemed to have a blast doing it.
