I write mostly poetry and some short stories but am in the process of working on a few books. Since my son (and only child) was KIA (killed in action) in 2011, writing is a way to help express emotions/feelings associated with grief, life, etc. It took years to think about sharing these writings outside my close circle of friends but was prompted to share after being told that my writing was helpful.
