The idea for this book took root when we found out Jemimah had a squamous cell carcinoma tumor in her throat. The prognosis for this type of tumor was not good, but Jemimah surprised everyone. Almost a year after the original diagnosis, she is still going strong (though she snores a little more now). Jemimah has spent her entire life loving people. I tell people it’s her superpower. With the thought of losing her looming, I felt strongly that I wanted to capture that love and her wisdom and to pass it on. The hope of this book is that everyone who reads it will find themselves renewed in some way.
