Shirley Melane Smith wrote “My True Love, My Hero, My Soulmate” in honor of her husband of 66 years, E.F. Smith, Jr., whom she married on October 13, 1942.



In their years together, EF and Shirley went through a world war, raised two children, moved to Dallas and then Granbury, spent many pre-retirement years in Jordan, and saw seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren into the world.
