Über das Buch
The series of images relates and reflects upon the words of various writers, photographers, and painters on the fascinating subject of "seeing." The purpose of this book is to set aside ones natural desire to understand what has been photographed, and focus instead, on the texture, lines, and hues of the compositions, intended to remind us all that nature itself is our greatest artist. Seeing, in the finest and boldest sense, means using your senses, your intellect, and your emotions to see “what goes unnoticed”. It means encountering the subject matter with our whole being, looking beyond the labels of things and discovering the remarkable world around us. It seeks expose the viewer to an alternative way of thinking and break down any preconceived ideas they may hold about the boundaries of beauty. The main ambition for this book is that people learn something from it and continue thinking about it long after they finish viewing each of the images.
This book consists three different landscapes and showcases 22 weathered, eroded or decayed objects that go unnoticed by the human eye on a regular basis. This portfolio shows the viewer the power and beauty of an object when viewed from an alternate perspective.
