This book is a photo survey of Jaywick sands in Essex. It looks at the every house along the seafront in Jaywick Sands. Jaywick used to be a holiday destination for those from London looking for a cheap plots of lands to buy or rent. The houses were made on a low budget and have outlived there life expectancy. Many of the houses along the coastal front have changed over time due to being exposed to flooding and the harsh coastal erosion. The owners have now taken on a self build nature continuously keeping up with the fragile state of the houses.
