This book is a collaborative effort between two artists, one a master painter and draughtsman, with an excellent reputation as an imaginative figurative surrealist as well as a well known teacher of fine art; the other a master of words, known for inspiring poetry workshops and intuitive insight. Each has long been an admirer of the other’s work and so it seemed a good idea to see if both elements could work alongside one another. So here, we have paintings which are expressive reflections of the psyche, set with poems which dig into the deepest recesses of thought and feeling; the idea being that each gives new life and meaning to the other.
