During those first days in the hospital, I began writing emails to inquiring family members and friends. I was surprised at the positive, encouraging, and grateful responses I received in return, and I came to realize that my messages were received not just as reports on my physical condition, but also as uplifting thoughts on how God was present in my life, and in our life together.
Put a preacher down, and I guess the sermons will sneak out somehow, even if it isn’t Sunday!
