In the summer of 2013, 9 students (Zane Hawley, Taylor Gersbach, Sarah Jones, Ramune Rastonis, Rachel Wardenburg, Nina Zurier, John Zurier, Jasper Alt, Christina Conklin, Brandon Bateman, Andrew Bonfils) from California College of the Arts spent three weeks in Iceland for a Drawing from Nature class, taught by John Zurier and Nina Zurier. The first week was spent in Reykjavík and the following two weeks were spent at Lýsuhóll, a horse farm on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. This book shows a sampling of work created in and inspired by their time in Iceland.
