In 2012 Siobhan Davies and David Hinton made a film, All This Can Happen. This film became the stimulus for a group of photographers who came together to take part in Still Moving - A Siobhan Davies Dance Creative Project exploring movement through photography.
The film-making process might be described as a choreography of movement images. Ordinary movements are deconstructed, manipulated and reconfigured
to reveal what is often lost to sight in the everyday. All This Can Happen is composed using many different juxtapositions, speeds and densities of
images, and there are often several different frames of action on screen at the same time.
We challenged the photographers to explore how we can elongate or extend our expression of a movement or moment through the use of multiple images.
This book presents a selection of the photographers’ works in response to the course.
